ANSWERS:

Q: HELP! I can not remember my username/password for e-Learning. What do i do?

A: Your username and password for e-Learning is your 10 digit registration code (all numbers no letters). If you can not remember what this number is, you can find it on your Student Portal or you can call your local YD office and they can provide it to you. If that doesn't work please email tech support

Q: HELP! I can get my pop-ups to work properly. What do I do?
A : If the e-Learning will not open, this is because of a pop-up blocker either in your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) or a toolbar (e.g. Google Toolbar)

Here is a link to an external website that provides a simple guide to disabling pop-up blockers.

Q: HELP! I can not see the "NEXT" arrow. What do i do?

A: If you are unable to see part or all of the e-Learning window, the next arrow, or some of the words, then you need to adjust your computer settings to be able to see everything.

1. Try resetting the Zoom settings on your browser. This is usually found in the "Tools" or "View" menu of your browser.

2. If that didn't work try decreasing the resolution settings of your monitor. Depending on your computer operating system this is found in Control Panel and search for "screen resolution"

3. You can also enlarge the e-Learning program to "Full Screen Mode" by hitting F11 on your keyboard. You can hit F11 again to disable "Full Screen Mode"

Q: HELP! This video wont load or play. What do i do?

A: If you find that a video or exercise will not load or play, please do the following to correct this:

1. Update your adobe flash player: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?no_redirect

2. Update your Java program: https://www.java.com/en/

3. Update your browser: (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari)

Restart your computer and try the video or exercise again. If it still will not load, contact tech support.

Q: HELP! I clicked on "Trunk Open". Now What?

A: If you are on the exercise with the "Trunk Open" picture and the program will not advance, you need to follow the instructions from the Narrator and click on the remaining listed items on the left. Do so slowly and carefully as missing one will not result in the Green Advance Arrow lighting up.

Q: HELP! My progress isn't being saved. What do I do?
A : Lost progress in the e-Learning program can be caused by a few things:

- Not logging out correctly

- Having your browser or computer crash

- Having your wireless internet connection crash

- Your computer is not up to date.

In order to make sure your progress is saved please do the following:

1. Check that your computer is up to date: Adobe Flash, Java, your browser, and your computer itself (windows update, or mac update)

2. We recommend that you use a strong wired internet connection and not a wireless connection to avoid any interruptions during your program.

3. Make sure you log out correctly when you are finished workin on your e-Learning. You can not stop in the middle of a segment. Once at the end of a segment you need to make sure you click on the red exit sign, then click "Logout" on your Blue account screen.

You are responsible to make up any lost progress of your e-Learning.

Q: I've finished my e-Experience. Now what do I do?

A : Finished everything? Congratulations! You should contact the YD Office where you did your classroom work. They are the ones that look after certification and next steps.

Q: What is CogniFit?

A: CogniFit is an online program that assesses your brain’s ability to process driving related skills. Based on the assessment results the program will create a personalized training program designed to improve your cognitive skills. Wouldn’t you like to improve your memory?

Q: How do i complete my CogniFit Assessment?

A: To complete your CogniFit Assessment, go to the CogniFit YD Website, and complete the "Sign Up" form using your 10 digit registration code.

Once you register for CogniFit , the program is available to you for 12 months . You must complete the mandatory CogniFit assessment within 12 months or you will need to purchase another code (at an additional cost).

Q: How do i print my CogniFit Assessment?

A: Once you have completed your CogniFit Assessment you will be shown your results, you can print this page by going to "File > Print" in your web browser.

If you did not print your results following your assessment, you may log back into your account and your results will be available on your home page. Again you can print by going to "File > Print" in your web browser.

Please bring these results to your first in car lesson.

If you can not print your results please contact your local YD office.

Q: What are the CogniFit Training Sessions?

A: Once the assessment is complete, the personalized training program is available to you based on how you did on your assessment.

These training sessions are optional and are not a mandatory part of your YD course.

We highly recommend that you take advantage of the optional training and the second assessment. To receive the maximum benefit we recommend you do one training session every 48 hours. The sleep in between brain training sessions will help your brain process the changes made during the 20 minutes of training. The CogniFit training sessions are optional, but have been proven to improve your memory as well as 9 other driving related cognitive skills.Students are now averaging 425 points and many are able to improve their overall out of 800 by up to 100 points.

The best so far is at an awesome 604. Can you beat it?
